With the Human Vacuum on third, and Honus Wagner playing just to his left at short, I have the left side of the infield pretty well covered. Brooks may not have been the best hitting 3rd baseman, but few would argue against him being the best fielding 3rd baseman. How fortunate we were to watch this man play 3rd. With a solid .267 lifetime batting average, and a couple of 100 RBI seasons, Brooks was an easy choice for my third Baseman. I have him batting 8th in my lineup.
